From the very first days of the war, chefs Oleh Bibikov and Ihor Kukobko, along with like-minded individuals, began preparing meals for the State Emergency Service, medical personnel, and civilians in need.
During the 42-day blockade of Chernihiv, our team grew to 300 volunteers. With such a resource at hand, we realized that thanks to the immense bravery of the military, the city held out, while the volunteers, in turn, prevented a humanitarian catastrophe.
Our next steps were directed towards the de-occupied territories. We focused our efforts on helping those who had been left with nothing. It was decided to channel all our resources into this effort, with some volunteers dispatched to clear debris, board up windows, and repair damaged buildings.
This marked the beginning of three separate directions for the charitable organization "ISKRA DOBRA":
- Providing hot meals, bread, food packages, and water in the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kherson regions;- Rebuilding residential houses damaged by the fighting;- Supplying seeds to farmers and householders.
"There is a spark of goodness in every heart," says Oleh Bibikov, co-founder of the organization. "Share the warmth of your heart through a plate of hot food," says Ihor Kukobko, co-founder of the organization.
